Microsoft has announced that it is eliminating internet access for Xbox One S owners who purchase a new Xbox One console on ebay.
The news comes just hours after Microsoft unveiled the Xbox X, the latest Xbox console to be unveiled.
Microsoft is removing the internet access requirement for Xbox X owners who want to buy a new console on eBay.
The company says that those who buy a “new Xbox One” console with an internet connection will have access to their games and downloads for 30 days.
It’s unclear why the service was being removed, and it’s not clear if the decision is related to the announcement of the new Xbox.
The removal of internet access is a big win for Microsoft.
The Xbox One is Microsoft’s first console to feature a streaming service and, as such, Microsoft is hoping to increase sales of its Xbox One.
Microsoft says that the Xbox team is working to bring online multiplayer support for the Xbox platform to all consoles, and that this will be a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for Xbox fans.”
We’ll let you know if we hear anything more about this change.
